This piece had a previous life as a larger wall mounted gallery artwork. Working with such a fragile material means getting creative when things don't go as planned! Sustainability is important to me, by re-imagining broken sculptures into jewellery we can help the environment and you can have a piece of wearable art.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece handmade with recycled glass. The soft line work is created by carving into a plaster mould and carefully placing fine glass powders and frit. It is fired in a glass kiln, carefully reshaped and fired again for a smooth glossy finish.
This pendant measures 6 x 3 cm and comes with a sterling silver 45 cm (18 inch) snake chain.
