Open Path

This kilnformed glass sculpture is inspired by a walk by the sea on a brisk windy day. Raised flowing lines on the surface represent linear time while the gentle folds are sculpted by gravity in the kiln as the glass is allowed to form as it wishes. That space allowed for an element of magic, a collaboration between artist and material. The entire surface on this piece is covered in varying textures and patterns, telling the story of a fleeting moment.
