Happy Sky

This piece captures a moment of happiness looking up at a bright sunny sky with only a few fluffy clouds going by, lounging in a hammock in the back garden with my closest friends. Those warm sunny days are few and far between in Ireland so it is important to make the most of them when they come along and cherish them. I love to capture fleeting joyful moments into sculptures in this way so that we can be reminded of them often.

This vessel is carefully crafted with fine grains of glass powder and frit, fired twice in the kiln to allow the glass to drape to its own alchemy.
